Why Thep Advisors

A few things that may be worth considering

Thailand-specific knowledge

Awareness of Thai regulatory conditions, supplier networks, and regional logistics arrangements that affect day-to-day supply chain decisions.

Documented work product

Every engagement closes with a written memorandum or recommendation document your team can reference, share, and act on independently.

Conducted alongside your team

Work is carried out jointly with your procurement and operations staff so that the findings are understood and ownership remains with you.

Considered, not hurried

Recommendations emphasise decisions the organisation can carry forward, rather than short-term adjustments that may not hold under changing conditions.

Independent viewpoint

Thep Advisors has no supplier affiliations or placement fees. The analysis reflects what the data suggests, not what a third party would prefer you to hear.

Regional sourcing scope

Familiarity with cross-border sourcing from neighbouring countries — including Vietnam, Cambodia, and southern China — alongside domestic Thai supplier networks.

Next Step

Is there a supply chain matter worth discussing?

The diagnostic engagement may be a reasonable starting point if the scope is unclear. It takes two to three weeks and returns a written set of observations that can guide any next steps.

Questions

Frequently asked

What kinds of businesses does Thep Advisors typically work with?
Thep Advisors works primarily with Thai manufacturers, distributors, and trading firms. Clients tend to be mid-sized companies with established operations who would benefit from an outside reading of their supply chain — whether ahead of a sourcing change, a market expansion, or a general review of their supplier base.
How does the diagnostic differ from a longer engagement?
The diagnostic is a short, bounded engagement — typically two to three weeks — that covers existing supplier relationships, inventory behaviour, and logistics arrangements. It delivers a written memorandum of observations. The sourcing and supplier review engagement is more targeted: it goes deeper into a specific category or region and produces a comparative cost and risk analysis alongside a recommendation document. The retainer is for ongoing matters rather than a defined project.
Are the engagements conducted in Thai or English?
Both. Thep Advisors conducts conversations with suppliers and staff in Thai as the situation warrants. Deliverables — memoranda and recommendation documents — are prepared in English, with a Thai summary available on request. Working sessions with the client's team can be arranged in either language.
Does Thep Advisors have relationships with suppliers or logistics providers?
No commercial relationships of that kind. Thep Advisors does not receive referral fees, commissions, or placement arrangements from any supplier or logistics provider. This is an important part of the independence of the advice.
How much involvement is expected from our team during an engagement?
A meaningful amount. The sourcing and supplier review engagement is designed to be conducted jointly with the client's procurement and operating team. This is intentional — it ensures the work reflects actual conditions and that the client's team can carry findings forward after the engagement closes. For the diagnostic, the main input is access to relevant people and locations for two to three site interactions.
What is the typical response time after an initial enquiry?
Initial enquiries are responded to within one to two business days. A short introductory call is usually the next step, to understand the nature of the situation and whether one of the service arrangements would be a reasonable fit.
